Hi guys!

I rarely update this poor old site anymore, I know. Me most sorry really! My life has been absolutely insane this past week, and for anyone who cares too, I could REALLY use some prayer right now. Been having a great deal of trouble at work and stuff. Too much drama one might say. :)

Anyway, we had a little challenge going on at ff.net where you had to write a oneshot that was 221 words long and the last word had to start with the letter 'B'. Well, I took it a bit farther and did a poem instead! lol Hope you like!

(P.S. That's me feeding the dolphin on my background pic. It was so bloody awesome!!! :)

"Bulwark"

A wisping tendril of fog,
The chill of night,
A wish,
A want,
For all at last to be made right.

A stealthy step,
A rapidly breathed breath,
A turn,
A halt,
A quick brush with death.

A typical day,
In a not so typical life,
A ray,
A light,
In this a world of strife.

Solitary perhaps at first,
Though not alone ere long,
A meeting,
An acquaintance,
A further defence against wrong.

Though weakened by hateful war,
By no means slighted in heart,
A loyal,
A stalwart,
Friend ne'er to depart.

Sometimes side by side,
More often back to back,
A blockade,
A fortress,
Against many an unseen attack.

All for an endless expanse,
A stretch of winding time,
A revolving,
A rotation,
For the many saved, eternity divine.

A partnership unfathomed,
A tie unknown by mortal eye,
Not by smile,
Not by pain,
Can this bond be brought to die.

By way of many a fearsome storm,
Through ceaseless cycling terror,
Not one shot,
Not one arrow,
Does unbalance the half-burden of either bearer.

Both gifted by One,
Yet aided by so few,
Ever remaining,
Ever sustaining,
Long after lone courage ought be torn through.

Two striving as but one,
A force of justice beyond remark,
Alone one searching,
Alone one lost,
Together, a God-fashioned bulwark.

YAY an update!! Though I understand about life getting busy and crazy! I'll be praying for things to calm down. I LOVED this poem, it was powerful yet flowed so well. Also, the background is adorable! I love how dolphines feel like very shiny rubber!

Yes, poor Merrille certainly does have some issues now, doesn't she? As for the ending lol, I debated over ending it where I did, but I opted for a shorter post to ensure that it went up quicker as I kept you waiting a good while. The next chapter is nearly finshed so it should be up within a week.

The play was performed last Saturday and went very well, I'm thinking of getting it published actaully. If you want to see pics, there on my elvenshire Xanga.

Thank you! It was so fun to do! What is your play about and where/when is it being perfomred? Where you work?
